History of Modern Radio Labs®: Elmer Osterhoudt composed his ads in outside publications (platforms) of his choosing, and he almost never advertised parts, kits, or supplies outside of his own publications. He advertised his literature that he wrote. In his own publications and distribution, Elmer Osterhoudt wrote about what he wrote, what MRL made and the products he offered.
Today, Paul Nelson writes and distributes the same way.
Paul Nelson knows the history of Modern Radio Laboratories® extraordinarily well. Paul did not visit Elmer Osterhoudt in his convalescence. Paul Nelson interviewed Elmer Osterhoudt, and that interview is on audio tape. Elmer Osterhoudt stated:"There is a lot of work to this you know", and he also wrote: "Please do not ask us to explain!"
We are collecting and compiling information on the history of Modern Radio Laboratories®. We welcome any contribution of knowledge about MRL® history you want to provide us.
